Cardamom pear muffins with buttermilk

My obsession with buttermilk continues together with the comfort of baking muffins in the airfryer. Combined with the autumn coming and having lots of pears, this is how these cardamom pear muffins came to be. Here is how to make them!

Temperature time airfryer: 165 C

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 140 g of buttermilk
  • 35 g of room temperature butter
  • 50 g of white sugar
  • 1/5 teaspoon of cardamom
  • 180 g of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 chopped pears

Directions

  1. First wonderful step is to pick the pears yourself, if you have the chance:
  2. Mix the 35 g of room temperature butter with the 50 g of white sugar and the cardamom.
  3. Add the 1 egg with 140 g of buttermilk.
  4. Add the 180 g of flour and the 1 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix very little, it will look soft and lumpy.
  5. Add the chopped 2 pears.
  6. Scoop the dough in 6 muffin shapes.
  7. Bake in the airfryer at  165 C for 18  min. No preheating needed.
  8. They are better served cold. Enjoy!
