Varză călită – Romanian stewed cabbage, sweet version

The Romanian stewed cabbage is the most basic, delicious and encountered dish in any kitchen in Romanian villages. It can be done with both raw or pickled cabbage, can be with or without meat, served with bread or polenta. All the versions are delicious!

Not a food to be recommended against flatulence (…), but a food to recommend if you want something fast, delicious and ridiculously cheap!
