Covridog, variation from the Romanian pretzels

From the recipe for Romanian pretzels or covrigi, there is one great variation I absolutely love: covridog. Basically a pretzel and a hot dog at the same time. Not everybody likes them, but I think they are simple and delicious. Plus, I am happy for the extra protein in my snack.

Here is how to roll them with the covrigi dough – check the recipe here. Then simply proceed the same: boil them for a minute in the baking soda water, sprinkle sesame on top and bake them at 200C for 20-25 min:
