Pear cake, quick and easy

Pears are one of my favorite fruits to snack on, but I like their taste even more when they are cooked, so I try all the time to invent any possible pear cake every time I buy pears.

This cake I made is super easy, I was ready with the preparation in under 10 min, it is not sweet, but flavorful and very moist.

Here’s the very simple recipe!

Ingredients for a rectangular form of 26 cm

  • 160 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter
  • 2 tsps of baking powder
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 2 pears
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon  and pinch of salt.
  2. Bring the butter to room temperature and mix it with the tablespoon of sugar.
  3. Mix the flour bowl with the butter and add the eggs one by one.
  4. At the end add the pears cut into small cubes. Leave the skin on.
  5. Add the mixture in a tray that is layered with butter and flour.
  6. Bake it at 180 C for 30 min or until a toothpick comes out dry.
  7. Enjoy it warm or cold. Keep it in the fridge once it gets cold. It is a moist cake and it will go bad if you keep it for too long at room temperature. It is not going to be a sweet cake, since it contains very little sugar, but the cinnamon together with the pears give it a very nice flavor and it will definitely feel like eating a real cake.
